Hello My Engine Room Family!
So, I’ve been collecting your links like a greedy monkey and I know I’m slow, but here are the latest ones.
Speaking of things that inspire us.I thought I’d post this little video a good friend of mine (Alejandro Cardenas) and his brother (Daniel Cardenas) did. They’re both artists and this is a short they submitted about the afterlife! I thought I’d share and I knew you guys would appreciate it.
We’ve been busy in the Engine Room. I know you guys are going to flip when it hits the air. The challenges are tough and I think the contestants are feeling the pressure already.
The judges are really impressive and even I’m surprised at who we’re getting in, to look at your work. Again, we are going to be putting your portfolios in front of industry leaders from creative fields.artists, designers, ad execs, art directors, audio experts, etc., to get your work to as many decision makers as possible! In fact, we have a surprise for my next post.a special message just for all of you, our buzzing online community! Stay tuned and connected!

A band of digital artists that formed on MTV’s “Engine Room” blog who’ve recently formed their own design group, “Coactive Elements” is seeking a new member that has one or more of the skills below:
- Papervision 3d
- Actionscript 3
- XML
- PHP
We are seeking someone with those skills, because we are now working on ideas for a website, which we hope to debut on the same day as MTV’s “Engine Room.” One thing that we can guarantee is that your skills will be exposed to tons of people. I love these.
Especially the FREE HUGS on Youtube posted by Joel. MY brother in law is the FREE HUG guy here in Seattle down at the Pike Place Market; been doing thta since June of 2007 and still going strong. Such an important message. Thanks Joel for posting that.
SuChin ~ The House of Cassette…..some amazing urban photos on there. I have a thing for city life though I was raised on a farm as a kid. Best of both worlds, but something about urban settings I just love.

Hey everybody, how’s the blog crew doing!!!

The main idea behind ON3 is that it is created by the people for the people since we all need to jump in to save the environment!

Ahh, this post has me even more excited about the show! That video was pretty sweet, and it’s nice to see a lot of the links in one place. A little inspiration, indeed.
I’ve been away from the blog for a bit, and it looks like a lot of others have as well. I hope to be hanging around more often since it sounds like some big things are on the way…and I’m anxious for our special blogger message!
Greg, if I get a chance over the weekend, I’ll try to come up with a design for you–We’ll see how much time I’ve got. Hope all is well with everyone!

Hey Greg! We know how it is, real life calls us all. I love wearing t-shirts with designs on them. I did the design for my high school senior class’ t-shirts. Our project graduation theme was disco and our mascot was a bulldog, so I drew a disco ball and below it was a bulldog with an afro wearing a classic 1970s white suit and he was striking that famous John Travolta pose. lol I still have that t-shirt in my closet somewhere. lol Are you lookign for vector design for the shirt or will anything do? You want it to deal with the environment right? I did a graphic artwork for a competition before this one and the theme of it was dream. Something kept telling me to do something environmental and I did. I called it Dream Green. It wasn’t chosen as a winner. I would love to use it for something. If you all are looking for vectors or photo-like designs, then I would love to send in that artwork.

Dee ~ Had a great day! My daughter got kind of moody, but we had a good time. Also glad we went early cause its raining to beat the band right now! Ugly and grey…..but I do like the rain sometimes. Big ole picture window to look out of. Nice.

Congratulations Greg! An email reminder sounds good Tony. I know who not to email this time. lol Things aren’t looking so good Rodrigo. Have you gotten any replies on Facebook? I know my email address was on the listing, but I thought maybe people would reply to you on there too. I haven’t received any replies. I even put listings on backpage.com, an online classified website for various local art and entertainment magazines/newspapers. On that website, you can post listings in any number of cities you want. Right now, I have one in Houston, Los Angeles, New York, and Miami. Let me know if you think I should post our listing in more cities. I came across something today and I want to show it to you. I have already showed it to Tony. I thought maybe we could add on to this thing and turn it into our own thing or we can draw inspiration from it. I’ll email or IM you the link.

Hey Tony! I am doing great! I am over here doing some summer cleaning. I feel even more creative energy in here now that everything is returning back to it’s cleaness. lol When I work on something, I throw paper, disks, and fabric everywhere until finally I notice how stuffy my room is. lol I am never letting my room get this bad again. I found a bottle of body mist that I have been looking for for a month. lol It was underneath all the papers on my desk. This summer cleaning was much needed. lol I can’t wait for Monday too. We can finally start to get down to the nitty gritty on the plans for the website. How is your weekend going?

Summer cleaning. God I give you credit. We try and start that and maybe get a room here and there but then something always comes up. But…it is pretty cool when you find something that’s been lost, lol The perks of cleaning.

Good evening everybody! You’re welcome Greg! I am doing great. How are you doing? I still have a little cleaning to do, but I am still on my long break from yesterday. lol I’ll probably finish cleaning later tonight. Good luck on your cleaning and moving! I know how it feels to clean and try to move at the same time. It’s time consuming and energy draining. Try not to go crazy and throw everything out the window. lol The underground fab team is still trying to crank it out. We’re going to have a meeting tomorrow to see if anyone has any thoughts or ideas on anything. If you’re available tomorrow, then we would love for you to join us.
