Wow! that is a lot of work to do in that amount of time. These guys really are good. Have to give them credit. I think Max is laughing so hard to keep from having a breakdown from all the pressure.

Whoa, I’ve seen Archan’s work before! I realized this when I saw “The Joy Ballad”– I think it was in Computer Arts? Not too sure. Anyway if you’re reading this Archan– I’m a big fan!!!

Ohhh..! Thats taking a picture with the Scientists stuff of team North America was really good.!
But have to say the rest of the site was not very artistic.
But Ohhhhh..!!! The way team Latin America put graphics on it, and hand writing lettering, made it a fantastic and superior work.
100% sure the graphic desing of Rey’s team was far beyond the rest.
But it’s important to see, WHAT was the judges preferences. Evidently… a Very Nice and quite normal Web-Site.
Congrats North America!
Congrats to THE Graphic Designers, team Latin America..!
A hug to all of U…!

Yeah, I’ve seen joy ballad before but im not sure where, might have just been deviant art but it obviously stuck in my head. Checked out the we are scientists site earlier today, the advice section is hilarious.

Congrats Archan!!! Your designs are really cool! I also like how you use your color and composition. Also, great episode on web design. I like how each team had a unique style and approach to the project.

Great episode!
I must say in pure design term the European is from far my favorite, not a great fan of Latin america and Asia on that challenge, and I must say Team north America had really good ideas!

I knew you were his mom, Doris. That’s cool. You have a right to be proud of him and his team.

Whats going on with the website?
I can’t seem to watch more than 10 secs of any of the videos with out them starting over again.
I allow enough time for them to load and have tried in both firefox and ie and there be no differance.
This happening to anyone else??

@James, I had trouble playing an episode as well, it was resetting. I watched the 4th episode before the 3rd and it was fine.
The websites were all neat. I liked Team Europe’s concept, Team Asia Pacific’s clean look, Team South America’s doodles and handdrawn elements, and Team North America’s sleekness.
Not surprised that Team North America won, just because WAS did keep their bare-bones, clean website for so long, and they talked about readability specifically, so it’s clear they wanted it to stay simple, even if their actual content is silly.
Unrelated, but what happened to the third Scientist? I was stranded in their DC dressing room when The Grates left me there to wait after their show, and distinctly remember three members.
This is all still really cool. Can’t wait to see what happens next!
P.S. I swapped some content on my own EngineRoom portfolio if anyone’s interested! http://mtvengineroom.com/users/view/70d53604695cd0bf9b5ae384ae67f70a

If the video quits, just close your browser, open and play again. Should be fine. thanks

Yeah- the third guy in the band dropped out I guess. I remember there used to be 3 too. Congrats N America. I agree that there’s was the cleanest and simplest which is what I think the band wanted.

Hey Thanks a lot Rey!

Congrats to you all.
An amazing amount of work in 3 days ! Unbelievable.
I have a geeky question though. I’m interested in the technique-code used
for the European mockup. I loved the ‘diagonal’ scrolling and the infinite web-page experience. Anybody with details on the ‘language’ used - talent aside of course.:)
It was to me the most - different but still nice and simple and highly graphical mockup of the episode.
Thanks guys.
