What Will You Think Of Next?

I love that you guys are creating this crazy creative place on our site here. I mean, really, at this point, we here at Engine Room are proud participants of something you have created on your own. I can only imagine what the future holds and if this beautiful group photo is any indication, this is going to be a lot of fun (and hysterical.)

And of course there’s Demetrius’ film, starring us…I like the idea of us all running around in a twist and turn horror flick. Keep adding to the script…can you imagine the first film to be made from a group of digital artists that came together online?!?!

This whole experiment has become a huge, surprising choose your own adventure…it will continue to live on through your efforts and take shape as you want it! This blog, this site, will not go away after Wednesday, we have more plans for you guys and many more ideas for ways to get your creative juices flowing. This blog was just supposed to be a small start but because of your responses, we’re gaining more and more support and momentum to build more avenues to help you shine!!

Your participation here will determine where we go from here. A second season, an online community, tools for your trade, a space to celebrate and support your talents…all of that depends hugely on what you guys want and making yourselves heard. I say this only because I’ve seen “the suits” watching and flipping out over your comments, your level of participation and passion…it’s the power of the people, people!!

So, I’d love to hear from you guys what kind of things you would like to see from this site and how we can help you continue to pursue your passions and your dreams! What tools or forums or opportunities would you like to see available to digital artists?

Second, continue to keep our community alive and robust! Keep inspired and keep us inspired!!!

And finally, and most importantly, remember, this blog is as an important part of the Engine Room as the competition in NY. We will be shouting out our blogging stars, giving out prizes, showing off your work and here, we will build something bigger than any of us can do on our own.

AND FINALLY! Shout out to Rodrigo who posted the correct answer to our cryptic post. (What, can’t we have a little fun around here?!?!) Yes- it will be the Engine Room theme song.

From Rodrigo Bastos Didier (Posted on 7-11):
“The music on the intro video is YYZ by Rush… YYZ is morse code… if you listening the music you will see…

P.S. Rodrigo - you were wrong about me being one of the “others.” :) I’ll have to figure out how to get Krispy Kremes across international waters….hmmmmm…

wow, that really was cryptic! so yeah… you can help me pursue my passions an dreams by hooking me up with a job! are mtv hiring? ha! but seriously, its pretty cool if people are taking note of all this. Power to the people :P

  2. Tony Campagna Says:

SuChin ~ Right on! So glad to hear this, I cant tell you. I’ve been thinking and wishing and hoping that MTV would adopt us wayward creatives and let us run loose in your playground. We’re building a nice little family here…..and the energy will only get better and bigger.

What was it they said in “Field of Dreams”?

    “Build it…….and they will come.”

    ;)

  3. Josh Brock Says:

Hey I just have a question if anyone can answer it, how do we know if we are one of the 16? do we get a phone call, an email what? Because it is KILLING ME!!!!!! KILLING me i tell you and im sure there are others out there wondering the same. :D
Soooo if anyone knows haha please let me know!!!

  4. Tony Campagna Says:

    Rodrigo ~ “All Hail thee!”

G ~ Stick around man, who knows what will happen……..

  5. Tony Campagna Says:

Josh ~ That be the question of the hour :D

  6. Josh Brock Says:

    I KNOW RIGHT!

  7. Alyissnesss Says:

    Wow, that pic is awesome!

  8. G Says:

hmmm… what happened to the name/site links?

  9. Alyissnesss Says:

    vanished…

  10. Josh Brock Says:

So SuPak, if you could answer that for us, that would be AMAZING!

  11. Denesia Says:

I had a feeling that all of our chatting on here would lead to something. I can’t wait to see what happens in the next few months. I am proud to be a chatterbox now. lol

Welcome back Tony! Did you take some cool pics of Oregon?

  12. Denesia Says:

If my words don’t make any sense today, then blame it on the Benadryl. I have been pumped up on Benadryl since yesterday. Darn sinus! lol

  13. Joel Marsh Says:

Ok, so I could gush with whatever praise-of-the-moment I can come up with, but ultimately SuChin, you asked for suggestions…so here they come:

    - It may be worth noting what people have been guessing the show will be, since we know nothing…it speaks to the climate of reality tv we’re in at the moment. Challenges, comparisons to The Apprentice, and people in general are wondering what will keep viewers coming back each week, since there is no one getting voted off…so there must be a cumulative point system right? Therefore implying an all-or-nothing battle possibility near the end? Will there be “immunity” of sorts each week, or someone removed from challenges?

    - A community would be awesome for young/up-and-coming/any designer wanting some exposure, and MTV has the unique ability to put work into a very public medium. Create a reward system with your community and put stuff that rises to the top on MTV as station IDs or whatever. That is something few or no other communities have: the power for instant 15 minutes of fame.

    - I think setting up some method of having the cast communicate with the “outside world” during and after the show would be cool and positive for any young or inexperienced designers who get inspired by the show and what to ask questions. Besides, you really don’t learn something until you teach someone else…

    - Maybe part of the package for winning this season could be to come back next season as judges or something along those lines.

    - Creating a playground of sorts would be cool. Let “the community” submit designs for new show logos or anything at all the MTV wants to “contract out”. MTV could easily act as a broker to bring big projects to little designers, therefore creating the possibility of someone unknown working on something famous.

But first and foremost I would give you the same advice I give myself every time I design something: don’t do it half-@$$. Be dedicated and creative with your offer to “the community at large” or stop promising…a half effort isn’t an effort at all.

  14. Tony Campagna Says:

    Dee ~ Thank you :D
I know, every thread is a little step up, lol I’m here for the long term.

Yeah, got some cool shots of Seaside OR on the beach! We had a great time. I’ll post a few as soon as I can.

  15. G Says:

bah, im gonna need to spam with my site address now just for good measure! ha! yeah, tony, you never know what can happen, i really want to worki in america for a while tho but i doubt itd be that easy to get a break. I was over visitng my friend im memphis about a month ago and i loved it.

    *cough* http://www.garywhitton.co.uk *cough*

  16. Tony Campagna Says:

Joel ~ I have to second the motion. Intelligence speaks, especially when theres creative passion on the line. Its not just the visuals and the banter, its an attitude that we can develop over time, be the spear point for a new direction for ourselves, the artistic community and mtv all at the same time. I see a world of color and fun every day I get up and if I can do that here? With all of you? Oh yes, that will be rewarded greatly.

  17. Dawn Rivers Says:

There really are a ton of cool things that could come from this!

I’d like to see art competitions, maybe more opportunities for artists to create work for MTV and get recognized. Posters, flyers, music videos, commercials… who knows.

Or… a more permanent digital gallery. Like Deviant Art, Art Wanted, CG Talk, etc… Somewhere for artists to network and get recognized by companies that work with MTV.

Maybe a creative internship program that isn’t just for academic credit and open to more schools and students. I think that would be pretty sweet.

Anywho… back to work. Hope everyone’s well!

  18. Tony Campagna Says:

G ~ You have some amazing work and I love your site design. Seriously, you’d do well over here.

  19. Denesia Says:

Cool Tony, I can’t wait to see them. Looks like MTV has made it easier for us to see who is real or not real. lol

  20. Tony Campagna Says:

Maybe a consistent way for MTV to bring in future creatives and a way for us to im part and teach? But with an entertaining edge to it as well. Make it exciting…… ahh, god my mind is going a million miles a minute now…

  21. Denesia Says:

What should we do about the loft pic? Some people have added their pics to it, but they were on the wrong version of the pic.

  22. Tony Campagna Says:

    Dee ~ Saw that….and I’m glad too.

  23. Josh Brock Says:

G, I love you site!!!! im assuming you used Flash.

  24. Shawnee Bushkill Says:

Denesia - Benadryl sucks! Sorry you had to take it…..

And SuPak - nice post there. Lots of meat to it and it’s always good to hear that people are taking notice. From the get go I thought this was a great concept. Since I am more of the Audio type artist maybe it would be cool to have a similar type show but have the teams work on a remix.

4 production teams working on a Leonna Lewis remix or something like that.
That would be great exposure for a lot of guys who toil in obscurity into the wee hours of the morning!

    Cheers!

  25. Tony Campagna Says:

Dee ~ I know. I saw that too. Who was it thats missing on the right side? Tati or Allison?

  26. Alyissnesss Says:

there was some one in the trash can too

  27. Rodrigo Bastos Didier Says:

    _o| |o| |o_

    =DDDDDDDD
    Thank you SuChin ^^
Ok, I’m convinced, you are not one of the “others”. Could you give me some Krispy Kremes please! =]
Here in Brazilian Northeast doesn’t have! =(

YYZ is perfect to be the Engine Room theme.
Lets play it on Guitar Hero game before the D-Day!!

Tony ~ |o| yes!!! htank you!

Dan dandan dan dan du dan dan dan dan dudu dan du dan dan dan

  28. G Says:

thank you, its just sometimes getting a start as a graduate without experience isnt too easy. Ive put in applications to companies recently so hopefully i’ll be lucky with them.

I actually used a template for my site from flashvillage.com (the shame lol) so i cant take all the credit. Ive modified it from the original but i really didnt have time to build one from scratch, well… not a cool one anyway

  29. Demetrius Harmon Says:

oh wow!!!!!! I didn’t know that this chatting stuff would turn out like this. Man i’m so happy.

    hey everyone!

You heard SuPak, lets keep adding to the movie, maybe we can add so much to the movie that mtv actually puts it in production for us and then everyone can be famous. Then we’ll have stories saying well…….this whole thing started out as a mtv contest and turned into something as big as a movie…

Who ever has any ideas about what happens to the next contestant # 15, please post it or maby we all can take a line like we did with the first story.

Come on lets hear those crazy ideas and “GET TWISTED!” REMEMBER…..”CREATE OR DIE!”

  30. Tony Campagna Says:

Rodrigo ~ Video games and donuts……I’m there :D
G ~ Its all about what you do with what you have………..and its impressive.

  31. Alyissnesss Says:

what movie? the link didnt work for me

  32. Demetrius Harmon Says:

SO WHAT HAPPENS IN SCENE TWO: LETS DO SOMETHING WHERE BOTH CONTESTANTS #15 AND 14 ARE IN A ROOM TOGETHER…………………….WHAT HAPPENS NEXT

  33. Denesia Says:

Tati, Drucifer, and Alyissnesss and I believe the guy in the trash can is missing. I think the guy is Ric.

  34. Josh Brock Says:

G thanks for the source, I love making flash sites, and this will help give me some ideas of what i can do! Even though you didnt make it yourself, it looks pretty sweet!

  35. Demetrius Harmon Says:

    http://WWW.TWINGRAPHIKS.COM/ENGINEROOMMOVIE.HTML

  36. Alyissnesss Says:

    im in there

  37. G Says:

Yeah, well i only really learned the animation side of flash in uni, never really knew about the web design side but i reckon you could teach yourself just about anything through google these days! ha!

  38. G Says:

no problem, the original is called cube so you could see what ive changed. there some really cool templates on there. A lot of them you could modify to make it look completely different

  39. Demetrius Harmon Says:

    @ alyissnesss

  40. Joel Marsh Says:

Anybody looking for (in my opinion) the best flash inspiration on the internet, check out http://www.thefwa.com.

  41. Josh Brock Says:

Yes actually google and youtube booth are amazing got tutorials! and making a website is really simple, easier that dreamweaver and other forms or code.

  42. Tony Campagna Says:

Demetrius ~ Got an error message on that. :(

  43. Denesia Says:

I am hoping they’ll give us a chat room in the future. We can still have the blog too. If people want to talk to other people in real-time, then I think that would be great.

  44. Josh Brock Says:

A chat room would be the greatest because I’m wearing out my refresh button!

  45. Vaughn Dabney Says:

Hey Everyone (including MTV and SuChin),

I just would like to say a very special thank you to everyone for making this a great experience. Even though the finalists have not been announced yet, I have truly enjoyed sharing experiences with you and being able to internalize everyone’s art experiences from all over the world. It is amazing that we have connected to each other on multiple levels of interaction and none of us have even met! We are truly the children of the technology era :)
I wish everyone the best and beyond.

    -Vaughn

  46. Tony Campagna Says:

Okay, that last link worked. :) I love that.

Josh ~ Dreamweaver……oh man, its easy but is it ever sloooow, lol

  47. Tony Campagna Says:

Vaughn ~ Thanks man, I raise my glass to you!

  48. Alyissnesss Says:

    Demetrius~SWEET

  49. Denesia Says:

Ok Alyissnesss. I was just saying that you and I both noticed that the guy in the trash can was missing. I think I typed the sentence in which I was listing people that weren’t in the pic wrong. Blame it on the Benadryl. lol

  50. Demetrius Harmon Says:

    thanks alyissnesss

  51. Josh Brock Says:

ok in my defense I only used dreamweaver to publish my flash site! Dreamweaver is not my fav. but it got the job done.

  52. Alyissnesss Says:

    darn you BENADRYLLLLL!!

  53. ysabella Says:

    1. that loft looks like the last supper, only the jesus’s missing.
    2. in spite of the nice words, you bring nothing new to the table supak.
i would’ve much liked to be notified if i was a winner or not. now it’s too late, because i got that figured out myself. so that was the paramount thing, to see that you mtv can reciprocate and provide proper feedback. other than that, this blog’s just like a dream. and it’s made of the same stuff dreams are made of.

  54. Demetrius Harmon Says:

    thanks vaughn

  55. Denesia Says:

Josh, I am wearing out my refresh button too. Do you ever get the feeling that your computer is going to get disgruntled one day because you’re clicking the refresh button too much? I can just see my computer throwing a fit and going into hibernation mode. lol

  56. Demetrius Harmon Says:

    @ysabella:

r u from the U.S or over seas?

  57. Denesia Says:

Alyissnesss, that is what I feel like saying too. lol

  58. Alyissnesss Says:

Denesia~ I think that actually happened to me before

  59. Josh Brock Says:

I would have to agree with you Denesia!!!!

  60. Tony Campagna Says:

ysabella ~ If you get involved, it might not be that bad. I happen to want to see where this goes. If it doesnt, then it doesnt.. But I want it too.

Dee~ Order me a new refresh button please! :D

  61. Tony Campagna Says:

Okay, people……Tony needs food. See you all in a bit.

  62. ysabella Says:

  64. Josh Brock Says:

NOW there is a GREAT idea!!!

  65. ysabella Says:

@Rodrigo Bastos Didier: man, you’re smart, hats off. i was thinking that could look that YYZ, but i didn’t know what that stand for. you’re smart, bravo.

  66. Denesia Says:

See ya later Tony! Have fun munching!

  67. Denesia Says:

Alyissnesss, did your refresh button cause your computer to go into hibernation or did something else make it go into hibernation? One day I let my nephew play games on my computer and he kept pushing the keys so fast that my computer went into hibernation mode. I told him my computer was having issues and that it needed a break. lol

  68. Denesia Says:

    Rodrigo’s idea does sound good.

  69. Alyissnesss Says:

oh I was doing a school project with circles and a computer went to sleep on me, then it came back on, then went off again.

But MySpace has beena acting up on me today, I dunno how many times I refreshed, my computer started glitching up afterwards but it didnt go into a silent protest luckily lol.

  70. Demetrius Harmon Says:

@alyissnesss. oh, i just wanted to know because when i read ur post I thought u had received an email or something saying u wasn’t chosen

  71. Alyissnesss Says:

    Do you mean ysabella?

  72. Demetrius Harmon Says:

oh my bad alyissnesss… I was responding to ysabella

  73. Demetrius Harmon Says:

@ysabella. oh, i just wanted to know because when i read ur post I thought u had received an email or something saying u wasn’t chosen

  74. Denesia Says:

Alyissnesss, it’s good your computer didn’t go into silent protest. lol

  75. Josh Brock Says:

    did anyone receive an email?

  76. ysabella Says:

@demetrius: no i did not receive any, but i wish i had. it would’ve kept me from putting way too many projects on hold :)

  77. Demetrius Harmon Says:

    awe ok… ysabella

  78. SuChin Pak Says:

@ Tony C–thanks for always being so encouraging and supportive to everyone here.
@ Joel M–you should be a media executive and I just basically cut and paste your comment and sent to producers over here. my experience working in a creative, not so stable field is that you never know when or where opportunities will come. most of my work i’ve gotten through unexpected avenues and always through the people i’ve met and impressed. when starting out in any creative field, my best advice always is to say yes, yes and yes, because a door will open when you least expect it. of course, i will keep you and everyone here posted on what the new developments will be. remember guys, this is all new to us too! but our hearts are in it and we’re passionate about YOU!
@Dawn–we are working on a gallery and i love your ideas. there will be more opportunities to showcase all of your guys’ work in the coming weeks. even a few surprises you will all love. ;) @Shawne–don’t you worry, our audio geniuses will not be overlooked. in the meantime, would love to hear some of your remixes!
@Rodrigo–if i can just figure out a way to get the sweet treats over international waters…! you’ve pitched another great project/idea for us…GUITAR HERO videos. i wanna see you rock it out!
@Deneisa–propolis, it’s actually a great Latin American remedy (my friend from Brazil turned me on to it.) feel better.

  79. SuChin Pak Says:

THE LINKS ARE BACK! THANKS FOR SENDING OUT THE FLAG.

    XO
    SUPAK

  80. Josh Brock Says:

well Im going to get something to eat ttyl !!!!!!!

  81. Joel Marsh Says:

@SuChin: Yeah…who would have thought that the 8th place winner in forensic speaking would now be a super-famous host on MTV. ;) Personally I thought you peaked on Newton’s Apple though…that show rocked the casbah. But yes I agree…you never know where the next door will come from…

  82. Denesia Says:

Rodrigo’s idea reminded me of that season of Real World where MTV let the cast start a business and if it did well, they would extend the season some more weeks and they could keep running it after the show ended. Well none of that happened because people were arguing with each other too much. It would be cool if they did an online or offline tv series where they give some digital artists a chance to start their own company and they follow their ups and downs. It would be like Food Network’s Ace of Cakes, but with digital artists.

  83. ysabella Says:

    wow!
check out the new radiohead video

I really hope that this community continues after day 16!
Talented people from around the world, is incredible the way we met.
Today I have in my contacts, guys of Serbia, Argentina, USA. Amazing!
    Thanks guys!
    Caio Fernando

  85. Matt Moore Says:

Don’t forget the audio portion of the site…,
I’d love to see something happen with that

  86. Alyissnesss Says:

    http://viewmorepics.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewPicture&friendID=172599541&albumId=1488457

here’s some of my images, one’s upside down oops!

  87. Denesia Says:

Thanks SuChin! I will definitely look for that. I will chunk my Benadryl out the window if it works for me. lol :)

  88. Tony Campagna Says:

SuChin ~ Never a problem. I know a string of good ideas and good people when I see em.

Dee ~ I like the Ace of Cakes comparision, I think you may just have something there. :)
I can only speak for myself, but I will show up for work here on the blog on the 17th like clockwork. Its habit now.

  89. Tony Campagna Says:

Alyissnesss ~ No one does color like you!

  90. Alyissnesss Says:

Thanx, and your paintings and sketches rule, would you call them surrealism? Pheonix is my favorite…

  91. Tony Campagna Says:

Alyissnesss ~ Well, thats much appreciated, sincerely. I dont think they started out as surreal, but now, yes I think I would.

How would you classify your creations? To me, they say a vibrant great mood.

  92. Tony Campagna Says:

The Geisha being my favorite one.

  93. Alyissnesss Says:

i actually never thought about that. I guess VIBRANT would cover it.

  94. Denesia Says:

Tony, you will see me clocking in for work on the 17th too. lol

Alyissnesss, do you hand paint your artworks and then scan them into the computer and do Photoshop magic to them or are they 100% created in Photoshop? Your artworks look great! I wouldn’t mind seeing one of them on my wall everyday.

  95. Tony Campagna Says:

Alyissnesss ~ Yes it would. :)
Dee ~ I expected nothing less from you!

  96. Demetrius Harmon Says:

    @ Suchin

1st Idea: We “THE DESIGNERS” should have our very own reality tv show with a community of creative artists living together in “That Loft”. On the show we will have a family thats based off this blogg. There will even be a trouble maker who will keep the show exciting and the viewers tooned in.

@2nd Idea: Mtv should create the newest myspace called “THE ENGINE ROOM”
Were artist compete against each other for their ranking in mtvs top 20 designers from across the world. And the names would be aired on mtv’s show and website every months.

@3rd idea: We should have a mtv digital artist awards just like the B.E.T awards and have superstars come to it to recruit designers.

@4rd idea: Lets not forget about THE ENGINE ROOM MOVIE. I really think people will be tuned in to an mtv horror flick or we could just do a movie about a class of designers that needs someone to put their foot down on them. For example think about the movies, “LEAN ON ME”, “HIGH SCHOOL HIGH”, “THE SUBSTITUTE” AND PUT us designers as those bad groups of kids in those classrooms. We’ll have talent but be bad has ever and there will be a teacher who comes in and change our life and way of doing things. Then as the movie nears the end thats were a team of respectful and dedicated designers form from a group of wild and bad school kids.

I feel that my movie ideas will make a lot of money but I never think anyone ever listens. Thats why I don’t really take them too seriously. I just make a portion of it and let people read and then go on to doing the next best thing.

But one thing I will never do is “GIVE UP”… I follow my slogan: “CREATE OR DIE!”

  97. Alyissnesss Says:

    thanx Denesia,

most of them are created using existing images, I just layer them. Some the backgrounds are painted or colored then scanned in and layered with other images. The one with the winged woman and tags that says be known, is the only one that I created then scanned in and didn’t alter too much.

  98. Denesia Says:

I love vibrant colors. When I go shopping, I am always drawn to the most colorful thing.

  99. Alyissnesss Says:

@Demetrius i think create or die t-shirts are in order

  100. Alyissnesss Says:

@Denesia I like how you do a little bit of everything!!

  101. Denesia Says:

That’s cool Alyissnesss. I like your technique.

  102. Tony Campagna Says:

Demetrius & Dee~ “Engine Room - Create or Die!” Now I like that, big and bold on a t-shirt!

SuChin ~ Following Demetrius’ movie idea, How bout a series of featured digital shorts that creep up between the main portion of the “Engine Room” show itself? Short 30 second feature sof the artists on the blogs that fly several pieces of art at you one after the other, intermixed with photos of said artist? Music in the background…….God, itd be cool, just quick flashes of someone creative genius….then their name, age, what they specialize in, where they’re from and then back to the show! That way, even though someoen who didnt make the show can be showcased briefly on MTV. :D

    Yeah, definitely…

  103. Demetrius Harmon Says:

@ALYISSNESSS… I KNOW I WANT ONE AND WILL WEAR IT TO THE FULLEST

  104. Tony Campagna Says:

    I’m seeing it!

  105. Tony Campagna Says:

SuChin ~ We could call those shorts, “Engine Room Blasts!”

  106. Demetrius Harmon Says:

    @TONY & @SUCHIN!

THATS A GOOD IDEA. ALSO EVERYONE ON THE SHOW SHOULD WEAR “CREATE OR DIE” T-SHIRTS DURING THE FILMING INSTEAD OF REGULAR SHIRTS.
EACH TEAM SHOULD HAVE A DIFFERENT COLOR SET OF SHIRTS WITH “CREATE OR DIE!” ON THEM. THAT WOULD BE HOT…………..

  107. Denesia Says:

Alyissnesss, I definitely do a little bit of everything. lol At my college, you couldn’t just concentrate on graphic design. I had to take drawing, painting, weaving, ceramics, and etc. I ended up liking all those things and kept on doing them. The only thing that isn’t on my portfolio are my sewing and weaving work. I am going to add pics of those things to my portfolio in the next few weeks.

  108. Alyissnesss Says:

Im kust thinking of the teams, if they put a sound designer with a video person and an image designer with all the knowlege of design the endless possibilities that one team could create!!

  109. Denesia Says:

The t-shirts sound like a good idea.

  110. Alyissnesss Says:

Awesome Denesia I will check that out

  111. Tony Campagna Says:

Demetrius ~ Excellent idea!!!! Big bold stenciled almost old naval type on a big beefy T!

  112. Tony Campagna Says:

    Dee ~ Definitely!

  113. Alyissnesss Says:

am i seeing a create or die clothing line? hats, jackets, baby onesies, charm bracelets, belt buckles!!

  114. Denesia Says:

    That would be cool Alyissnesss.

  115. Denesia Says:

Looks like the collaborating juices are flowing. lol

  116. Alyissnesss Says:

hey my mom is on her way home, and she’ll probably want her computer back, (and not to mention the dishes I didn’t wash) so I’ll talk to you all a bit l8er

  117. Denesia Says:

The other night I dowloaded some t-shirt vectors. We should do a mock-up.

  118. Tony Campagna Says:

Dee ~ I’m all for that.

  119. Denesia Says:

Talk to you later Alyissnesss! May the force be with you! lol

  120. Denesia Says:

Lets start brainstorming. Do we want create or die to look happy or gruesome?

  121. Tony Campagna Says:

    A bit of both?

  122. Dawn Rivers Says:

Thanks for the update SuChin! I can’t wait to see what comes out of this show and blog <3 <3

  123. Denesia Says:

Tony, a bit of both sounds good.

  124. Denesia Says:

I subscribe to ZDNet’s newsletter and they say that 1 million iPHone 3Gs have been sold so far. That’s a lot.

  125. Tony Campagna Says:

I dont doubt it. From the lines that I saw….

  126. Danny! Says:

    ROFL-copterz!!!1!
    That picture is hilarious.

  127. Danny! Says:

    …but I’m not in it. :(

  128. Tony Campagna Says:

    Danny, add your pic. :D

  129. Tony Campagna Says:

As they said in that Heartwarming movie “Demons” …………..”JOIN US!!!!!!”

  130. Tony Campagna Says:

…also “Evil Dead” Come to think of it…….but you get the idea. lol

  131. Denesia Says:

Wow, I know I couldn’t have waited in line. I bet people thought it was Christmas in July after seeing those long lines. lol

  132. Denesia Says:

We need to fix the pic before Danny adds his pic. Do you think we should ask Tati, Drucifer, and Ric to put their pics on the latest pic or should we cut them out from the other pic and put it on the latest one?

  133. Tony Campagna Says:

Might be easier to just put them in, but I couldnt do it until tomorrow, what about you Dee?

  134. Tony Campagna Says:

Hey, I’m out of here for a few. I have a dinner date with my daughter…. :) I’ll see you all later!

  135. Denesia Says:

Tony, are you asking me if I want to put them in? Yeah, I can put them in. Have fun on your dinner date! See ya later Tony!

  136. JorgeGoyco Says:

What if maybe have the bloggers vote on the best result in the competition. That could be fun, you know, after the show is filmed, send us the finals and have us look at them too…see if we pick the same ones.

Another thing that could be cool is give us the briefs as well, and we can have a go at the projects as well, then we can all vote for the favorite top 5 or something and have the judges look at those too.

Also, what if maybe there’s a competition going on on this blog, and then you have a “special guest” on the show…”from the blog”. If nothing else, it will give people the idea of the blog and that there’s stuff going on here.

I’m sure there are a few of us that can come up with b-roll/bumper music, graphics, intros, credits and titles. That would be fun.

I’m sure some of the designers in the vicinity would love to have a walk on or something. Maybe have a drawing or something where one of our guys are in the elevator when some of the team members go to lunch or something. Or deliver pizza during one of the all-nighters or something.

I think working 6on the graphics for season 2 would be a cool thing to open up to the bloggers. We’d just need to set up a site to “watch” updates and vote and whatever. Like this: http://www.dontpaniconline.com.

    my two cents

  137. JorgeGoyco Says:

Dude, what if there was a “fifth” team made up of bloggers. This could be an “add on” when the results are tallied. The judges could also have a look at the blog team entiry for the project as well.

    SuChin says:
“Let’s see how “Team Blogger” did on this project…oh, wow, the judges seem to really lean toward the blogger team…again…wow, they are really kicking butt. Look at how they came together, like they have been working together for years.”

Maybe HP would award some honorable mention laptops or something.

  138. JorgeGoyco Says:

I’d love to take a crack at the end credits. You know, give me the limitations, specs and the list of names and I’ll make a flash animation…maybe with a “These End Credits designed by GoycoDesign.com” or something like that.

  139. Natalia López McDougall Says:

WOW a lot has been going on scince ive been gone jaja!!!! goes to show what a new entry can do to us! well i think what u all have been suggesting (just skimmed through) sounds great! it would be excellent if we could have the briefs too… and do some brainstorming that the contestants could look through…. then again it might lead to the groups getting an idea and doing the same thing…. maybe the groups could take turns in reading the bloggers ideas?? Sort of like they do on these tv show when they get to get a phone call?

oh yes a “team blogger” could be interesting too…. it could be interesting aswell for external people to send pictures for a “moodboard” of whatever project the 15 chosen ones are doing and get them put up on the loft to inspire them…. i dunno!

  140. Drucifer Says:

Cool pic above, I woulda been nice if SuPak woulda grabbed a later version where I was in it…
